Varaha Stotram (वराहस्तोत्रम्) - a hymn to Lord Varaha, the boar incarnation of Vishnu who rescued the earth from the cosmic waters. He symbolizes the divine descending into the depths to lift up what is lost.

|| वराहस्तोत्रम् ||

वराहरूपं महादेवं धरणीधारणक्षमम् । दंष्ट्राग्रे धृतवान् देवं वराहं तं नमाम्यहम् ॥ १ ॥

varāharūpaṃ mahādevaṃ dharaṇīdhāraṇakṣamam | daṃṣṭrāgre dhṛtavān devaṃ varāhaṃ taṃ namāmyaham || 1 ||

I bow to Varaha, the great lord in boar form, capable of supporting the earth, who held the earth on the tip of his tusk.

हिरण्याक्षं महादैत्यं हत्वा धरणिधारिणम् । रक्षितां जगतीं देवं वराहं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ २ ॥

hiraṇyākṣaṃ mahādaityaṃ hatvā dharaṇidhāriṇam | rakṣitāṃ jagatīṃ devaṃ varāhaṃ praṇamāmyaham || 2 ||

I bow to Varaha, the god who killed the great demon Hiranyaksha who held the earth, and protected the world.
