Narasimha Stotram

हिरण्यकशिपुं दैत्यं प्रह्लादस्य प्रियंकरम् । नृसिंहरूपी भगवान् हत्वा सुस्थापितः प्रभुः ॥१॥

hiraṇyakaśipuṃ daityaṃ prahlādasya priyaṃkaram | nṛsiṃharūpī bhagavān hatvā susthāpitaḥ prabhuḥ ||1||

The lord, assuming the form of Narasimha, killed the demon Hiranyakashipu, the enemy of Prahlada, and established himself as the ever-present protector.

उग्रं वीरं महाविष्णुं ज्वलन्तं सर्वतोमुखम् । नृसिंहं भीषणं भद्रं मृत्योर्मृत्युं नमाम्यहम् ॥२॥

ugraṃ vīraṃ mahāviṣṇuṃ jvalantaṃ sarvatomukham | nṛsiṃhaṃ bhīṣaṇaṃ bhadraṃ mṛtyormṛtyuṃ namāmyaham ||2||

I bow to Narasimha - the fierce, the heroic, the great Vishnu, blazing with splendor, facing all directions, the terrifying yet auspicious one, the death of death itself.

नृसिंहं नमस्कृत्य नरं वा नरकेसरिम् । जयेत्कर्ममयान् बन्धान् मोक्षमार्गं स गच्छति ॥३॥

nṛsiṃhaṃ namaskṛtya naraṃ vā narakesarim | jayetkarmamayān bandhān mokṣamārgaṃ sa gacchati ||3||

Having bowed to Narasimha, the man-lion, one conquers the bonds of karma and attains the path of liberation.
