|| महाविद्यास्तोत्रम् ||

नमस्ते चण्डिके चण्डि चण्डमुण्डविनाशिनि । नमस्ते कालिके काले महाभयविनाशिनी ॥१॥

namaste caṇḍike caṇḍi caṇḍamuṇḍavināśini | namaste kālike kāle mahābhayavināśinī ||1||

Salutations to you, O Chandika, who destroys the demons Chanda and Munda. Salutations to you, O Kalika, who destroys great fear even at the time of death.

शिवे रक्ष जगद्धात्रि प्रसीद हरिवल्लभे । प्रणमामि जगद्धात्रीं जगत्पालनकारिणीम् ॥२॥

śive rakṣa jagaddhātri prasīda harivallabhe | praṇamāmi jagaddhātrīṃ jagatpālanakāriṇīm ||2||

O Shiva, protect me! O sustainer of the world, be gracious! O beloved of Hari, I bow to you who sustains and protects the universe.

जगत्क्षोभकरीं विद्यां जगत्सृष्टिविधायिनीम् । करालां विकटां घोरां मुण्डमालाविभूषिताम् ॥३॥

jagatkṣobhakarīṃ vidyāṃ jagatsṛṣṭividhāyinīm | karālāṃ vikaṭāṃ ghorāṃ muṇḍamālāvibhūṣitām ||3||

The knowledge that agitates the world, that brings forth creation, fearsome, terrible, dreadful, adorned with a garland of skulls.

हरार्चितां हराराध्यां नमामि हरवल्लभाम् । गौरीं गुरुप्रियां गौरवर्णालंकारभूषिताम् ॥४॥

harārcitāṃ harārādhyāṃ namāmi haravallabhām | gaurīṃ gurupriyāṃ gauravarṇālaṃkārabhūṣitām ||4||

I bow to her who is worshipped and adored by Hara (Shiva), the beloved of Hara, Gauri, dear to the guru, adorned with fair-hued ornaments.

हरिप्रियां महामायां नमामि ब्रह्मपूजिताम् । सिद्धां सिद्धेश्वरीं सिद्धविद्याधरगणैर्युताम् ॥५॥

haripriyāṃ mahāmāyāṃ namāmi brahmapūjitām | siddhāṃ siddheśvarīṃ siddhavidyādharagaṇairyutām ||5||

I bow to the beloved of Hari, the great Maya, worshipped by Brahma, the accomplished one, the lord of siddhis, attended by hosts of Siddhas and Vidyadharas.

मन्त्रसिद्धिप्रदां योनिसिद्धिदां लिङ्गशोभिताम् । प्रणमामि महामायां दुर्गां दुर्गतिनाशिनीम् ॥६॥

mantrasiddhipradāṃ yonisiddhidāṃ liṅgaśobhitām | praṇamāmi mahāmāyāṃ durgāṃ durgatināśinīm ||6||

Bestower of mantra accomplishment, giver of yogic perfection, adorned with the linga, I bow to the great Maya, Durga, destroyer of all misfortune.

उग्रामुग्रमयीमुग्रतारामुग्रगणैर्युताम् । नीलां नीलघनश्यामां नमामि नीलसुन्दरीम् ॥७॥

ugrāmugramayīmugratārāmugragaṇairyutām | nīlāṃ nīlaghanaśyāmāṃ namāmi nīlasundarīm ||7||

The fierce one, the embodiment of fierceness, Ugra Tara, surrounded by fierce attendants, blue like a dark rain cloud, I bow to the blue beauty.

श्यामाङ्गीं श्यामघटिकां श्यामवर्णविभूषिताम् । प्रणमामि जगद्धात्रीं गौरीं सर्वार्थसाधिनीम् ॥८॥

śyāmāṅgīṃ śyāmaghaṭikāṃ śyāmavarṇavibhūṣitām | praṇamāmi jagaddhātrīṃ gaurīṃ sarvārthasādhinīm ||8||

With dark limbs, dark and beautiful, adorned with dark hues, I bow to the sustainer of the world, to Gauri who accomplishes all purposes.

विश्वेश्वरीं महाघोरां विकटां घोरनादिनीम् । आद्यामाद्यगुरोराद्यामाद्यानाथप्रपूजिताम् ॥९॥

viśveśvarīṃ mahāghorāṃ vikaṭāṃ ghoranādinīm | ādyāmādyagurorādyāmādyānāthaprapūjitām ||9||

The sovereign of the universe, greatly fearsome, terrible, with a dreadful roar, the primordial one, worshipped by the primordial guru and the primordial lord.

धनदामन्नपूर्णां च पद्मां सुरेश्वरीम् । प्रणमामि जगद्धात्रीं चन्द्रशेखरवल्लभाम् ॥१०॥

dhanadāmannapūrṇāṃ ca padmāṃ sureśvarīm | praṇamāmi jagaddhātrīṃ candraśekharavallabhām ||10||

Bestower of wealth, full of food, lotus-like, queen of the gods, I bow to the sustainer of the world, the beloved of the moon-crested lord (Shiva).
