|| श्रीसूक्तम् ||
Verse 1
ॐ हिरण्यवर्णां हरिणीं सुवर्णरजतस्रजाम् । चन्द्रां हिरण्मयीं लक्ष्मीं जातवेदो म आवह ॥ १ ॥
oṃ hiraṇyavarṇāṃ hariṇīṃ suvarṇarajatasrajām | candrāṃ hiraṇmayīṃ lakṣmīṃ jātavedo ma āvaha || 1 ||
Om. O Jataveda (Agni), bring to me Lakshmi, who is golden in complexion, beautiful, adorned with garlands of gold and silver, radiant as the moon, and made of gold.
Verse 2
तां म आवह जातवेदो लक्ष्मीमनपगामिनीम् । यस्यां हिरण्यं विन्देयं गामश्वं पुरुषानहम् ॥ २ ॥
tāṃ ma āvaha jātavedo lakṣmīmanapagāminīm | yasyāṃ hiraṇyaṃ vindeyaṃ gāmaśvaṃ puruṣānaham || 2 ||
O Jataveda, bring to me that unfailing Lakshmi, by whom I may obtain gold, cows, horses, and attendants.
Verse 3
अश्वपूर्वां रथमध्यां हस्तिनादप्रबोधिनीम् । श्रियं देवीमुपह्वये श्रीर्मा देवी जुषताम् ॥ ३ ॥
aśvapūrvāṃ rathamadhyāṃ hastinādaprabodhinīm | śriyaṃ devīmupahvaye śrīrmā devī juṣatām || 3 ||
I invoke Shree, the Goddess, who is preceded by horses, seated in the middle of chariots, awakened by the trumpeting of elephants. May that Goddess Shree delight in me.
Verse 4
श्रियं देवीं सुवासिनीम् । प्रपद्येऽहं सुशेवधिम् । श्रियं देवीं नमस्यामि । श्रीर्मा देवी जुषताम् ॥ ४ ॥
śriyaṃ devīṃ suvāsinīm | prapadye’haṃ suśevadhim | śriyaṃ devīṃ namasyāmi | śrīrmā devī juṣatām || 4 ||
I take refuge in Goddess Shree, who is beautifully attired, who is a great treasure. I bow to Goddess Shree. May that Goddess Shree delight in me.
